Sixteen-year-old Maddie Dunn is special, but she needs to figure out how to use her new abilities before somebody else gets hurt. Ganzfield is a secret training facility full of people like her, but it's not exactly a nurturing place.
Every social interaction carries the threat of mind-control.
A stray thought can burn a building to the ground.
And people's nightmares don't always stay in their own heads. But it's still better than New Jersey. Especially once she meets the man of her dreams . . .
It was interesting to read about a world where there are no standard supernatural creatures—and this from one that loves them—but the characters are all humans with different mental powers. I loved how every special ability is presented, how the explanation behind all is very accurate and how the author makes you feel so curious that you want to learn more and more about all these amazing powers.
There are all strong characters, especially Maddie, and when there’s a main character so well determined and a real kick-ass, you know you’ve just found the new heroine you would like to be. My only problem was her relationship with Trevor . . . I’m not saying they’re not a great couple because they are, but I found their falling in love too quick and too easy . . . It wouldn’t be bad a little bit of conflict during the process. But I see the strong, deep connection the two of them shared and I like it a lot.
Now a little curiosity . . . At the beginning I thought it was a case, but then I realized I should have be more careful with the title. Do you think you’ve just found out a similarity with a movie? Well, you can be sure the book will tell what it is! See? A real Minder!
Trust me, this book is so well written and full of intensity that after you enter Ganzfield you don’t wanna be anywhere else!
I'm really glad you liked the book! It's amazing, isn't it?
It really is! 😉
