Thanks to the well elaborated introduction the author does before the first chapter kicks in, the quick start of the story didn’t bother me at all. On the contrary, it instantly drew me into it! With only 12,000 words, Gemma James manages to deliver a clever story and let readers connect with her characters. I’m still trying to figure out how I feel about Gage, although there is no mistake about the sadist he is (and he makes that perfectly clear), I feel like there is way more than that . . . And isn’t just this reason enough to pick the second part up right away?

To be a novelette, Ultimatum is surprisingly fluid and clear (but still-how-dirty!), it’s emotional, original, erotic (of course) and it surely makes you crave for more. Plus, let me add kudos to the cover, shiny and catchy!
