Here’s what inspires me this week . . .
I’ve always loved braids!! You can catch me on the sofa watching TV while I play with my hair and do/undo braids over and over. It might sounds compulsive, I know, but I find it quite relaxing.
Recently I’ve mastered the art to do fishtail braids, WOOT! At the beginning I thought it was going to be something complex to achieve, then I was “No way! Is it so simple? Really!?” and so I’ve started having fun!
The picture on the left—it’s not me—shows a beautiful result. Then, sometimes I like to leave most of the hair down—that’s the beauty of long hair after all—with just a fishtail braid crown or a fishtail braid on one side. Yep, you can say I’m in love with this kind of braid! 🙂
Now, could you ever believe that after achieving a goal I would stop challenging myself!? Of course not, you know me better than that, don’t you? 😉
<- Here on the left there’s my next mission . . .
*pause to admire the mission (impossible?)*
Gorgeous, isn’t it?
*sparkling eyes*
THAT definitely sounds complex!
It might take me a while to master it, huh? Certainly, but hey, easy is boring so, let’s do this!
What do you think? And what inspires you?
I know you've mastered it, they always look cool when you show me!
Wow so I totally suck at all things braids. I look at the fishtail and am like WHY CANT YOU LOOK EASIER!! Its so pretty. The second looks like something I would end up getting my own fingers tangled in lol. You definitely have to show us once you do it.
If it can be of any consolation, I had the same thought at least the first ten times I stared at it. LOL Then, after a few complete failures there it was, pretty and easy! Here, if you want to give this fishtail a go then I recommend to have a look at this tutorial, I found it really helpful 🙂
As for the second braid, I'm a bit scared myself… I don't know when and IF I'll ever be able to do that without tangling my fingers but I'll try for sure!
I did my first French Braid on my daughter the other day.. It turned out really well. I think I'll stick with that for a while.. lol.

Haha, I might have scared someone, huh? LOL But really, the first one is not so complicated as it may appear. Of course, the second braid is a nightmare… but I'm not quitting (yet)! My grandma used to do French Braids on me and I think it's a gorgeous kind of braid. I hope your daughter loves it 🙂
She really did. Her newest thing is she wants to have curly hair, her's is very straight.. I told her I could make that happen, she would just have to let me find the things to do it. 🙂
Good girl! Lots of fun for mummy 😉
Trust me, it takes less than you think and a bit of patience is a fair price for such a gorgeous braid! 😉
I've been wondering how to do that first braid. It looks like it takes longer than I have the patience for though. lol.
Aww, thanks!! ♥
