Life of a Blogger: Astrology

Life of a Blogger is a weekly feature hosted by Jessi @ Novel Heartbeat.
Let’s talk about non-bookish topics, so we get to know each other on a more personal level.

This week’s topic: ASTROLOGY

Although I’m not one of those people who reads the horoscope every day, I’ve always been fascinated by astrology. I mean, how can you not be intrigued by the concept of a relationship between astronomical phenomena and events in the human world, right?

I’m an Aries (♈), which is the first astrological sign in the Zodiac and one of the Fire ones. Governed by fire, us Aries (also called Arians or Ariens) are very passionate and do love a challenge. Hence, we’re enthusiastic, adventurous, optimistic and generous, too. Now, they say we’re aggressive, but I find that completely untrue from my part. Stubborn? That surely proves to be right…but hey, it’s not always seen as a weakness trait, believe me. As for being impatient, that really depends. For example, tomorrow is my birthday and I’m stomping my feet with impatience! 😛

Peculiarly enough, the compatibility/incompatibility is all wrong for me. You see, apparently my sign is more compatible with Sagittarius, Aquarius, Leo, and Taurus, while it is most likely incompatible with Gemini, Scorpio, Cancer and Pisces. Well, let me tell you something, with the exception of my sister (a Sagittarius), the best people in my life—those I love the most and are in perfect sync with me—are the ones born under the signs apparently ‘incompatible’ with mine. It should just say Libra instead of Cancer to have the complete picture right. What do you know, huh?

Tell me about you, are you into astrology? How much does your sign really reflect you?

I think it's something interesting but I never did try to really get into it so I don't know anything lol

I've always been interested in astrology as well, Silvia, although I don't pay particular attention to it. As you know 😉 I'm an Aries as well and I find that many of the personality traits attributed to us are correct for myself. But I'm not aggressive either. 🙂 Stubborn? You bet! I find it interesting about the signs we're supposed to be most compatible with though…I'm married to a Virgo. I dated TWO Libras and yeah, they didn't work out so well. *ha* Fun post, my dear.

By the way, I hope your, ahem, patience 😉 paid off and you got something fabulous for your birthday! <3

  3. I was really hoping you would stop by for this, Brandee! It's good to know I'm not the only Aries who doesn't totally agree with that . . . Yes, the majority of the personality traits are quite accurate, but the compatibility/incompatibility is definitely what drives me crazy the most since it works right in reverse. Still, I love my sign!

Patience always pays off well in the end, my birthday has been great (hope the same was for you) and I got gorgeous presents, too!! 😀
P.S.: There's a picture on my Facebook wall, if you're curious and you missed it 😉

I'm not one to read the horoscope every day either. But I like checking it out after the day happens from time to time. Curious if it really fit for the day. But I do find sometimes the placement of the stars and planets affect everyone. 😉 Oh, I'm A Leo.

  5. Definitely interesting about your relationship compatibility, I find that mine is actually spot on. It's funny because I had a time where I was really into astrology and went back to look at all my old boyfriend's signs and they were all Taurus, the most compatible sign for me (Cancer) It was interesting, for sure. My sign reflects me pretty well, sadly. xD
