Call me crazy, but when I get the chance to review a story about swoon worthy boxing guys a boxing gym and a broken girl who is struggling but still doing her best and more to keep going, I can’t pass.

Emily and Cormac’s lives got me quickly engaged. They both have a dark past that keeps the reader entertained page after page, wanting to know what is going on because—with their backgrounds and the not-so-easy-present—something is surely bound to happen. Of course, with the info you are given from the beginning, you may very well find yourself knowing exactly what that is, but it will still have a certain impact on you. After all, what Emily has been through in her childhood can’t certainly leave anyone indifferent . . . The aspect I had an issue with was how fast the relationship between Emily and Cormac developed. Although they were a good match, sometimes I felt like something was off in their dialogues.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was fast-paced, dark and filled with a proper mix of romance and action/suspense that always works well for me. Also, I hope we get the chance to read more about every minor character because—even if I may have a fave—I think there is no one here who doesn’t deserve their own book!
