When in RARE18 Rome . . .

Missed me? Not gonna lie, I hope you did at least a bit 😛
Rest assured I missed you & my baby a lot!

Soooo, my Summer was really good! I got to spend some quality time with my family and, as I announced before leaving, I attended RARE18Rome. Let me tell you, that was quite the experience! Tons of readers and bloggers from all around the world, plenty of authors to meet, and also some well known book cover models. Oh yeah, you read that right!

I lost count of how many authors were present at the Convention, but I surprisingly met more than a fair share, and that surely made me very happy! I’m about to show you the ones I particularly fan-girled over, and something personal that I will never forget . . .

RARE18 Rome: Authors <3

Top (from the left): Laura Kaye, R.J. Prescott, Kelley Armstrong, Tessa Dare.
Bottom (always from the left): Tessa Bailey, Lexi Ryan, Karina Halle, Tillie Cole.

I don’t have enough good words to describe how lovely all of these ladies are, and what a beautiful moment I shared with each and everyone of them. *gets a bit emotional and sheds tears of joy* However, there are two I really need to put under the spotlight . . . Ready? Here we go!

Natasha Boyd, we FINALLY met, my dear!

I don’t just love this author’s writing style—if you haven’t tried her books yet, I’d strongly recommend you to rectify that—but I also had the pleasure of working for Natasha in the past, so I was eagerly waiting to meet her face-to-face. And Natasha didn’t disappoint when she showed how happy she was to finally see me in person as well! *gets a tad more emotional*

The other author that particularly touched my heart was *drum-roll* Skye Warren!

If you have been a reader of my blog for a very long time, then you should know I love Warren’s works. What you probably don’t know is that she quoted my reviews more than once, so when I was in front of her desk, I took a deep breath and told myself “Come on, give it a go, there might be a chance she remembers you.” So off I went and started to explain that, even if we hadn’t met in person before, she should know who I was, and as soon as my name was out of my mouth I got a “Darkest Sins, oh YES! Of course!” She walked over the desk and gave me one of the best, huge hugs ever! *super-emotional* After that, she told me which books she quoted me for and thanked me for all my support by also writing me what you see below . . .

And this, my dear readers, is how a blogger feels truly good in what they do!

RARE18 Rome: Book HaulIt’s safe to say I really loved this day!

Can you also tell by the book haul here on the left? Hehe, I went to the Convention armed with a journal to keep all the autographs together, and eight books that doubled up in number that unforgettable day. Don’t get me wrong, there’s no complain from my part, just from my lil suitcase . . . But hey, I—still don’t know how—made it work, so it’s aaaall good!

The rest of the awesomeness you see was courtesy of the authors, who spoiled us with all sorts of goodies! You gotta agree that it really seemed rude to refuse them 😉

So that is what happens when I leave for a break, I meet people, I get stuff, and I genuinely have a blast! Cherry on top, I got to enjoy this great event with two of the best fellow blogger friends ever!!
