Inspired Fridays (#29)

Inspired Fridays is a weekly meme hosted by Inkk Reviews.
Show something you have done, want to try, or whatever inspires you!

Here’s what inspires me this week . . .

After a month without doing any workout at all (not good), this week I’ve started my routine again.

My first thought when I did my stretching exercises was: “Oh, and here I thought it would have been painful, pfft!”. Then, the next morning I was in a different state of mind: “Ouch-ouch-ouch!!!”

What did I realize? When you’re used to do exercises every day (like I was for six months straight before the holiday break), never stop the routine. If you do, you’re going to be in a hell of a pain when you re-start -.- . . . Be motivated and don’t stop!

On the bright side, despite the soreness, I definitely feel great and, most importantly, I sleep much better! Didn’t you know? Exercising helps you sleep ๐Ÿ˜‰

What do you think? And what inspires you?

  1. Oh, why did you have to remind me that I haven't been doing my exercises? LOL! It's great that you're back at it though! You're really motivating me to get started, and I'm definitely looking forward to the bright side of exercising! Enjoy the soreness and the sleep! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. oh gosh, i hear you girl. i need to get back to working out too. I used to only rock climb , either outdoor or at an indoor gym for exercise, but since i had surgery i haven't done anything in like, 8 weeks, nor will i be able to rock climb in probably 3 months or more.. so i don't know i have to find some way to get active and get back in shape ! time to find a gym!!! thanks for the motivation! – katie

  3. Oh I know the feeling. I have been running everyday all month long and the day I didn't stretch and ran 2 miles longer… let me tell you the pain was serious. I have been trying to get a real work out in but so hard to find time. It makes me so mad because I have a big business event to go to in March and a wedding in May and I don't want to be the fat one!
No more breaks in the work out!
    Here is my Inspiration

  4. I've never done rock climbing but I have always been fascinated by it, even though I'm scared to try it… I remember about your surgery and indeed, rock climbing wouldn't be the best of choices at this time, but I'm sure you'll find another activity of your liking. You're going to get back in shape in no time, you'll see! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. Thanks Girl! I have come along way i know already! Im at " i can push a vacuum stage" and thats a huge achievement! Im just going to have to do more of your typical gym activities until i work my way up back to rock climbing. thanks again for the motivation! – Katie

  6. I've started doing exercises after a very unpleasant illness this past summer. I need to keep it under control and I can't tell you how much stretching and various exercises helped me so far and indeed, they have done miracles for my actual shape! So you see, without spending money you can actually feel good with yourself and see results. The key is to keep going even if you think it's hard and painful. You're going to be rewarded in the end and you'll have a smile on your face every time you look at the mirror, so it's totally worth it, don't you agree?
You'll go back to rock climbing one day soon and you know where to find me if you need to be motivated, anytime ๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. hehehe..i have so been there and done that..usually it involves yard work or big household cleaning jobs. Winter is hard to move with my RA, and I really need to find something to motivate or inspire me ๐Ÿ™

  9. So happy you liked it, Chanzie! As I said in the comments below, starting is always the difficult part, but then it's all a matter of enduring. Hope you find the motivation you need and won't let it go ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ooooo… I so need to get back to exercising. I kind of got away from it too many months ago. I know I need to do it, but it's hard to get back into it. Hope you keep going. ๐Ÿ™‚
