Lennox used to live in a paradise on earth with his best friend Jamie, in a place where visitors came and went, allowing their desires to run free. But everything changes when a deadly attack forces them to take up with Connor Mackenzie’s band of Outlaws. Lennox knows Jamie is hung up on someone else, but he’s always believed he’s the man for her—and won’t let her go without a fight.
Even though Jamie is well aware that Lennox is one hot specimen of a man, she refuses to let sex ruin the most important relationship in her life. But when the object of her interest spurns her, she indulges in a little pleasure-filled revenge with her very magnetic, very willing best friend. One thrilling night with Lennox is enough to awaken Jamie’s unexpected desires for him. And now that she’s had a taste, she’s not sure she can ever give him up . . .

Things with a dystopian can be tricky if you jump into it without having read the first instalment in the series, but I took the chance with this one because Elle Kennedy is an author a few bloggers I know love and I was genuinely curious to see if her story would get me as engaged as it did them.

It was a surprisingly quick read and getting into the world the author created was easier than I thought. There was some action I always like and a few secondary characters who particularly grabbed my attention—something that pleases me a lot. While Lennox was an intense hero and quite enjoyable to read about, I personally had issues with Jamie. I couldn’t stand her behaviour—what’s with the tantrums, Jamie?—or thinking at times, but still could see the couple working. The blurb already tells you sex is to be expected, but not that there’s plenty of it . . . And I might not be talking just about the obvious couple. Who is involved, where and how that happens is for you find out, just be sure to go into the read with an open mind and get ready for some interesting experiences.

If you’re up for a very steamy read, you should probably pick this book up. It won’t only make your toes curl, but almost certainly swoon and wait for the next couple in line.
