Dex Foray has never been anyone’s fool—until he missed his chance for happiness with Perry Palomino. Broken and alone, Dex has no choice but to rise from the ashes Perry left behind and find his own path to redemption. But nothing in Dex’s life has ever come easily, especially when there’s a dark madness waiting in the wings.

Every EIT reader remembers way too well when Perry left after the devastating events in Lying Season. What happened to her, every emotion she felt and everything that she had to face during On Demon Wings. But what about Dex? How did he cope with the whole situation? How did he survive? Well, And with Madness Comes the Light gives us all the answers. Of course, a journey through Dex’s head is always dark and overwhelming, so prepare yourself for the emotional impact and lots of love to give to this amazing man.

Reading and living painful situations through Dex’s voice, feeling his agony, his love, the madness inside him, the desperate need to let it go and the struggling for a change is what makes this novella a great instalment really difficult to recover from. Tears run free and my heart broke into a million pieces . . . I’m sure that when you read the novella you’ll just know, and you won’t be able to help but fall as well.

I so need to get caught up on this series! I have so much love for Perry and Dex, even when he drives me crazy. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I may sound masochist for what I'm about to say, but I do love when a book has that kind of power over me. And yes, Karina Halle has such amazing writing skills that her characters make me feel every emotion they actually feel. Amazing!

  3. I haven't started this series yet, but everywhere I look, there are great reviews for it! Yours makes me very intrigued. Who the hell is Dex? I think I want to get to know him.

  4. Dex is one of the BEST Book Boyfriends you could ask for! And I'm not surprised to hear there are great reviews everywhere, this is an amazing series and all of us EIT fans are impatiently waiting for the finale, due next month. I'm so gonna miss this series, but boy if it will remain in my heart forever!

  5. Teehee, you're reminding me of me last summer… I read all the six main books and all the novellas that were released at the time in two and a half weeks before Come Alive was released last June! I got so addicted, once I read Dead Sky Morning I couldn't stop 😀 I'm soooo glad you're loving the series!

I don't know if EIT is written in dual POV or not, since I haven't started it YET, but I'm guessing not. So it's wonderful that Ms. Halle could nail Dex's voice so well. Glad you enjoyed this one, Silvia. Yet another book/series I need to get to soon! 😉

  7. No, it is not. It's usually all from Perry's POV, but we get a couple of novellas under Dex's and also a novel, which is my fave so far and the review will be posted later this month 😉 I really hope you'll read the series at some point, Brandee, it's soooo great!
