I can’t believe it’s already been ten years since I started this blog . . . Yet, here I am writing a post about reaching such a big anniversary. What an achievement!
My blog gives me so much that I don’t think I can properly put my emotions into words. Still, wouldn’t you say my love for it actually transpires? Darkest Sins is my special place, the one I created to freely express myself, and let people know some of my skills—which also led me to commissioned works and the creation of a portfolio. I can honestly say that my blog constantly rewarded me, and I’m truly grateful. The support from fellow bloggers, the lovely friendships I developed around the world, the wonderful collaborations with publishing companies and authors, and you, readers, contributed to this achievement. I’m extremely thankful to you all!
I sure learnt a lot during my (primarily book) blogging journey, but what I think should be really important to always keep in mind is:
Blogging needs to be a pleasure first and foremost. Don’t pressure yourself and stay away from drama, otherwise facing the whole journey becomes a real struggle. LOVE what you do!
Post at your own pace. Remember that there is no rule that says you have to post every day. What matters is that you feel good and happy with the content you create.
Pick some reads for yourself only, not just for review. It’s important that reading doesn’t feel like work, so that books will always be a comfort and, yes, our best friends.
I believe fellow book bloggers agree, and hopefully newbies will find this helpful. It’s true that this journey can be hard at times, but if you stay focused and keep your love for it, it will be rewarding.
And with that, I wish my sweet Darkest Sins a Happy 10th Birthday!
Cheers to more amazing blogging years, and THANKS FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT!! ?
