Half-werewolf, half-Aedh Risa Jones can enter the realm between life and death, and she can see the Reapers who collect the souls of the dead. Now, she is using her gifts—and the investigative know-how of a man who broke her heart—to find a cabal searching for the power to control time, reality and fate.
Big fan of Keri Arthur since the moment I read the first chapter of Full Moon Rising—Riley Jenson Guardian series, book one—every time I receive a book of Dark Angels series to review I’m in an ecstatic mood, and after reading this third instalment I am even more.
Everything is well written as usual, the plot is great and action always present, but I’d say it’s the chemistry between the two main characters that plays the real big role in this book. Ok, in the series. The chemistry between Risa and Azriel is incredibly powerful, and for every dialogue that makes you crack up—I still have some of them playing in my mind—there is one ready to let you melt and dream—I can assure you I have those ones still going on as well . . . I said from the very beginning there was going to be no competition between Azriel and Lucian at all, and boy if I was right! Azriel is one of my favourite characters in the urban fantasy genre and, even if years of experience with Keri Arthur’s books taught me to wait until the very last moment to be all joyful for someone—or/and something—this book was gorgeously Azriel all along and I couldn’t be happier about that!
So, definitely the best instalment of the series so far, but could I ever wish it to stop? Please, especially not after certain interesting developments . . . Thank God I don’t have to wait too long to read the next unmissable book!
I haven't read any of Keri's books, but I'm going to add them to my TBR list now! Thanx for the review Silvia!
Good choice, Naomi! And I highly recommend you to add Riley Jenson Guardian Series to your list, as well. First, it's one of the best series I ever read, second, it definitely will help you to appreciate Dark Angels Series even more 😉
Will do then, Thannx Silvia!!
Put them on my TBR list now…. Just need to find time to read them!!
Time is always the biggest problem for us reviewers, isn't it? *sigh*
Btw, happy you put them all on the TBR list, you won't regret that, you'll see! 😉
Sounds like a lot going on this book so plenty of action. I've read Full Moon Rising but that's it so far. Nice review.
