Risa will go to any lengths to avenge her mother's murder—even if it means making a pact with the most evil vampire she's ever met. Lethal and powerful, Madeline Hunter is leader of the vampire council and will put her resources behind finding the killer—for a price: the vampire requires the assistance of Risa's psychic powers.
A powerful vampire who is very difficult to stand, people in search of the keys who keep appearing from nowhere, friends who could be in a very dangerous situation, and some very attractive men who give you chills everywhere . . . I don’t know about you, but those are definitely some reasons why I fall in love with a book!
Speaking of men, I had a crush on Lucian, he’s unquestionably handsome and in the previous book he had a charming attitude that reminded me of Quinn in some way, but here I was upset—I admit it, even intrigued—to find him a character so not to be trusted . . . I’m totally keeping my eyes well open from now on with him . . . On the contrary, Azriel was charming at the beginning, amazing in the middle and then pure-awesomeness in the end! Of course, he still has a mystery halo but, let’s face it, isn’t it one of the main reasons why we girls are so attracted to a how-gorgeous reaper/dark angel? And what if he starts having a flirting attitude? Wouldn’t that chemistry with Risa be even more enjoyable to read about? No, it’s even more pleasurable than you’re thinking, trust me!
I’m so pleased Keri Arthur decided to write this amzing spin-off and I totally can’t wait for the third book to arrive with—I hope—more Rohan moments that are so really priceless!
Sounds awesome. o: As always. And noooooo, I still haven't read her other series! *hangs head in shame* I will, I will! Just need the time, lol. You have me so curious about her work though!

Oh it sounds so onteresting! I really need to try this series, I've only read the Riley Jenson series. Thanks for the review.
I realise this has nothing to do with the content of the book, but I like the top Risa is wearing on the cover 🙂
It's beautiful, isn't it? 😉
