His father unknown, his mother dead, Nicholas Roman was raised by the vampire Breed with one wish: to live as a normal vampire. But when he’s transformed against his will into a gifted immortal, Nicholas has one goal: to stop the Eternal Order of vampires from controlling his life. Then comes a beautiful stranger with a startling secret . . .
Vampire Kate Everborne claims she’s sheltering Nicholas’s long-lost son. If this is true, then who is the mother? And how endangered are they if, indeed, Nicholas does possess the bloodline so coveted by the Order?
These are questions that with every seductive whisper and every silken touch draw Nicholas and Kate intimately closer, and nearer still to the truth.

That Nicholas Roman was a beautiful, interesting character it was obvious from the beginning of the series, what it wasn’t so clear to me was the fact that he’s also particularly freaking hot and so damn I-wanna-do-bad-things-with-you. I would have sworn that the last one was reserved for Lucian and still, Nicky surprisingly blew my mind away.

Reading about Nicholas’ past is shocking and touching altogether. I felt really emotional in more than one occasion and I loved that as much as I loved the whole plot, with mystery all around and a heroine to really appreciate. Yes, Kate is one of those female characters I always hope to find in a paranormal romance, and I’m so pleased she was the one chosen to ‘interact’ with this brother. The filtration between the two of them it’s a constant sensual dance of crazy hormones in their bodies and yours, as well. I still have shivers all over mine just picturing Nicholas calling her veana . . . There, shivers! This couple has a lot more to offer, though, like moments that bring you to the edge of tears and others in which you can’t control the laughs. They’re just SO good.

Lots of passion, action, romance, laughs and surprises all the way until the very end. Better you have the third instalment already with you, or I strongly suggest you to go grab it fast, if not faster!
