When A-list movie star Jack Eversea finds himself in sleepy Butler Cove, South Carolina, he hopes this sultry coastal town will be a haven from the tabloids, his cheating girlfriend, plus his increasingly vapid life and those who run it. He doesn't count on meeting Keri Ann Butler.
What with dealing with her family's deaths and the responsibilities of keeping up their historic house, Keri Ann hasn't had time for relationships. But Jack Eversea has her yearning for everything she has previously avoided. And Jack must decide whether this funny, sassy girl is worth changing his life for, before his mistakes catch up with him . . .

After having heard amazing praises for this book, I really couldn’t resist. Now that I read it I can say that not only I loved it, but I finished it in just a matter of hours!

You may be inclined to think the story is a bit cliché but, while reading, you find that it is not so much. There are certain complications that create interesting turns of events and put the reader in Keri Ann’s shoes so well that they will find impossible to fight the attraction for Jack. You seriously can’t resist him and same is for the wonderful chemistry between these two strong characters. There’s lots of tension, sweetness, sensuality and a great intimacy that make the whole story even a bigger pleasure to read. And if that wasn’t enough to convince you, know that the dialogues put also a smile on your face more than once.

I couldn’t put this book down, the author has such a beautiful writing style that the only thing I wanted was for the read to never end . . . Well done, Boyd, well done!

I wonder who praised this book so highly… ;P
I'm so glad you gave in to my nagging advice and decided to give it a go. Jack is… welll, Jack! I'm sure you'll enjoy the next instalment just as much!

Yay! I'm glad you loved it, Silvia. This one's on my schedule for this month. I can't wait! 🙂

  3. YAY! Sometimes, what we think of as cliché, when it's well done, just makes it a big part of a genre, don't you think? I am adding Eversea to my TBR, Silvia, you completely convinced me… If I can feel like I'm in Keri Ann's shoes, I'll be a very happy reader indeed 🙂

  4. I honestly didn't pay too much attention to the cliché part because Franny previously warned me it wouldn't have bothered me at all. She also told me the story special twists were well delivered and I completely have to agree with her. So I do hope you'll read it, Lexxie, and that you get to put yourself in Keri Ann's shoes! 🙂
