Jaxon is the guy she’s supposed to avoid.
K.C. is the girl he won’t let get away . . .

K. C. Carter has always followed the rules—until this year, when a mistake leaves her the talk of her college campus and her carefully arranged life comes crashing to a halt. Now she’s stuck in her small hometown for the summer to complete her court-ordered community service, and to make matters worse, trouble is living right next door.
Jaxon Trent is the worst kind of temptation and exactly what K.C. was supposed to stay away from in high school. But he never forgot her. She was the one girl who wouldn’t give him the time of day and the only one to ever say no. Fate has brought K.C. back into his life—except what he thought was a great twist of luck turns out to be too close for comfort. As the bond between them grows, he discovers that convincing K.C. to get out from her mother’s shadow is hard, but revealing the darkest parts of his soul is nearly impossible . . .

I was super-curious to read Jax and K.C.’s story, but never in a million years I would have thought I’d feel so much for them. Being a big fan of the series, I had no doubt I was going to enjoy this book, but I really wasn’t expecting it to be SO good!

To me, this is the strongest instalment in the series so far and the one that made me totally change opinion about a character I wasn’t particularly fond of. K.C. Carter has been quite difficult for me to understand from the very beginning, she always acted in a ‘bitchy’ way that didn’t suit her most of the times and, for that, I couldn’t completely figure her out. I did suspect she had a skeleton in the closet, though, and boy if it turned out to be a dark one! Between her and Jaxon I don’t know who got me more emotional, but they both equally gave me chills and, well, their encounters certainly got the temperature high in the room . . . Penelope Douglas delivered quite the HOT scenes here and I can only applaud to that, BRAVA!

Full of angst, drama, suspense, twists and hot stuff, Fall Away guarantees the reader an exciting time. I’m in love with each character and, although it’s going to be hard to say goodbye, I truly crave the last book!

The strongest installment of the series so far?!? I guess I'd better catch up then, Silvia. I'm glad Douglas gave you so many feels. It's wonderful to get so invested in the characters that they affect you so much. Gah! I'm going to put it on my schedule for August. 🙂

  2. Yep! I know you loved Bully, so I'm pretty sure you're also going to love all the other instalments as much as I did. Nevertheless, this one was really a surprise and yes, definitely the strongest in my opinion. Can't wait to read your thoughts, Brandee 😀
