This whole grim reaper thing should have come with a manual.
Or a diagram of some kind.
A flow chart would have been nice.
Charley Davidson is a part-time private investigator and full-time grim reaper. Meaning, she sees dead people. Really. And it's her job to convince them to "go into the light." But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (like murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she's been having about an entity who has been following her all her life . . . and it turns out he might not be dead after all. In fact, he might be something else entirely. But what does he want with Charley? And why can't she seem to resist him? And what does she have to lose by giving in?
When the UK Publisher sent me this book I didn’t know what to expect, but their presentation was really intriguing and when I read “If you love TV Shows like Ghost Whisperer . . .” I thought it was surely something that I would have loved to read. And I really loved it! It’s a very well written book, with action, suspense, mystery and sensuality, all great aspects that make this genre one I particularly love.
Sometimes reading about a case can be boring after a while, but here we have more than one and all of them are interesting and involving and when you think the whole story is fascinating, you find that the characters are even more! Gosh, that mysterious man gives you serious goosebumps from the very beginning . . . His story is winning and, trust me, very original! And what about Charley? She’s one of the best heroines I read about until now and her best characteristic has nothing to do with her aspect or her power, it’s her humour! There’s no chapter in which you don’t laugh several times and keep hoping that she doesn’t stop talking because you’re so into it. It’s a kind of humour so refreshing that you really find yourself totally addicted to it.
A great first instalment, I’m anxiously waiting for the next one!
I really like the sound of this book and have added it to my list of books to buy.
