Hello my lovely readers!!
Come on, say it, you missed me soooo much 😉
I know I missed you all a lot and I’m so sorry it took me this long, but health issues forced me to stay away longer than expected and slow things down . . . It’s been a hard year for me, but I’m doing way better now and I’m ready to get things running once more.
Let’s start with the obvious, Darkest Sins has a new style, AND domain! This was the main change I was talking about before the hiatus took place. It seems like a pretty smooth thing to do, you purchase a domain name + host, theme, plugins—I totally recommend Ashley @ Nosegraze—then you create the whole design and the blog is ready to run. Right? Wrong. I had to put my hands on 8 years of blogging and actually modify every post and page. Every.Single.One. Easy-peasy, huh?
But it is rewarding in the end, don’t you agree? And indeed, I said 8 years. My blog turned 8 this past May, YAY!! With a bit of a delay, Happy Birthday to my baby!!!!
What I’m going to do from now on is add new kind of content on the blog, meaning you’re going to see more than just book reviews—although we all know these will always be a big part of the blog, they are my original sins after all, hehe—but you should get ready for different posts as well. I hope you guys are excited for this, I sure am!
I’m really looking forward to hearing from you, which reminds me, if someone told me what kind of a struggle Disqus was going to be, I’d have never signed up for it. Do you wanna sync your comments to get rid of Disqus? Their plugin doesn’t work properly, the support consists in a repeat of stuff we already know and it’s useless, you spend days going through technical stuff for nothing, and if I managed to save more than 4k comments in the end, that was only thanks to the fact I had those safe and sound on the previous platform. The newest comments—and by ‘newest’ I mean three or four years—are not showing up, though, just a bunch of them here and there. I’m pretty sure bloggers understand how very irritating it is, but I don’t want this to ruin my comeback, so let’s see it for what it is: the start of a new beginning.
Having said that, welcome Comment Love, you guys feel free to go crazy with it! Let me know what you think of Darkest Sins’ new look—now matching my portfolio—and what you’ve been up to while I was away, I’d love to catch up with you all 🙂
Very happy and excited your back!!!!! Congratulations!!

Welcome back!! I’m a very new blogger (one month old) so eight years seems like light years to me. I’m so glad you’re still around though. I just read one of your reviews and really enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to keeping up with your blog <3 Jen
Hi Jen, welcome to my blog and also to the blogging community!
Eight years are a long time, but they really fly by when we do something we’re so passionate about, and I can tell you I loved every minute I spent blogging so far. I hope you are going to have a great time with your blog, and I’m very happy you enjoyed my last review! I’ll be sure to stop by your blog as well 🙂
