The dreams were happening again.
It was something seventeen-year-old Elizabeth Hayes thought she’d outgrown. She didn’t want them anymore; detailed premonitions of how people would die.
One night, Lizzy’s worst nightmare occurs. She dreams of her boyfriend, Michael Young, and soon discovers his car was found in a river, along with his lifeless body.
Confusion settles deep within when Michael appears alive in her dreams. He warns her, attempting to keep her safe from the very person who murdered him.
Awake, Lizzy must pull on her inner strength, not only to save herself, but also her friends whose lives are in danger.
I found myself totally involved with the story and the main characters from the very first pages. I have to say that there was a particular scene that reminded me of the movie Ghost, but it was just a scene and the story here is completely different. Michael and Lizzy are great, it’s impossible not to see how deep their love is and how they’re connected with each other. When Michael is in her dreams there are lovely moments and sad ones, but what I liked most of these times together was watching the two of them to behave like a pretty couple that makes jokes, has so much fun and really know each other! They’ll always be in love and bound despite the tragic event that keeps them apart . . .
The whole situation is tormenting and for the reader is like to be a real witness. Sometimes the atmosphere is scary, others is quite touching, and there’s a mix of emotions that flows through you while reading the book that doesn’t let you put it down. I love the way the author wrote her story, everything is fluent and I found the slang she used just for the bad guy particularly well chosen, it gives him the right tone of voice typically of a tough guy. It’s all very well written!
Thanks Cameo Renae for sending me the book with a lovely dedication, I’m looking forward to read your next book!
