Lennon McCartney is not a broken man. Because being broken implies being whole once. When a horrific accident deprives him of the one thing he loves―his talent as a fierce and explosive drummer―Lennon is left with a life chained by an abusive mother, by crushing guilt over a tragic past. A life he doesn’t want.
Dr. Georgia Starr is a legend. She’s one of the most successful neurosurgeons in the world, coming from a long-line of respected New York doctors. Her life is built around solving complex medical cases in order to bring relief and hope to sick children. But the one problem she can’t solve is how to live her life. How to be shake loose the burden of being her elitist, arrogant father’s daughter. How to be free.
Can a man who despises his life and a woman who desperately needs to live find the answers, and love, with each other?

A dear friend of mine has been bragging about Scarlett Cole’s books for quite a while now, and soon my best friend started to follow her example by highly praising her to me as well. So when both of them read this book, they made sure I HAD to give Cole a chance. Note to self: always listen to those who know your cup of tea.

Lennon Reborn is the fourth book in a contemporary romance series, but it’s no issue for the reader to get into the story—or every character—without having read the previous instalments. If anything else, it just makes you want to pick the other books to hold on to all da feels a bit longer, no matter that you already know the outcome. This book starts with probably the most I-did-not-see-it-coming impactful event that left me hanging for a few moments before turning to the next chapter. It wasn’t easy, but I needed to. The whole story is emotionally involving because of some dark and difficult subjects, a tragedy you can’t shake off—no wonder it affected Lennon the way it did—and lousy relatives you’d better cross off your life. But can Lennon find the strength to let emotions hit him, and Georgia find the courage to stand up for herself?

Scarlett Cole wrote a really touching story and beautifully portrayed a broken character who is impossible not to want to love, comfort, and give him all he wants—even if he will never ask. If you haven’t heard of this series before, I’d recommend you to check it out!
