Ten years of wanting. Ten years of waiting. Now Eva Beaumont and Lucas Waring have one chance to satisfy everything they’ve ever wanted from each other . . . Enjoy their explosively sexy reunion in this enthralling romance from reader favorite Rachael Stewart.
This is my moment. Tonight, among the glitter and champagne and those who are vying for a piece of my business, it’s perfect. Gloriously so. Then Lucas Waring walks in, and one glance from his dark, intense eyes gives me the same jarring bolt of awareness I always felt when I saw him. Careful, Eva. After all, Lucas Waring is the Beaumont family’s worst nightmare . . .
He used to be my brother’s best friend—before he broke my eighteen-year-old heart. And yet I still feel that want, that aching need unfurling through my body. If Lucas Waring wants my business, I’ll give him a chance . . . once we’ve finally experienced a deliciously carnal arrangement that’s long overdue.
This time, nothing is stopping me from having what I want. Not my family. Not my locked-down heart. Nice Eva is gone forever. Naughty Eva has taken her place. Only my heart’s about to pull the biggest betrayal of all . . .
What do you do when Rachael Stewart sends you an ARC of her next Christmas book? You simply get comfy and read it from start to finish while being thankful for being a good girl—and to Rachel for being such a sweetheart!
I always loved reading in double POV, it never fails to make me connect with both main characters on a deeper level—like in this case—and it sure helps to get a better understanding of the whole story. Never point your finger on someone before knowing all the facts . . . When you find out what really happened here and why, you will probably get angry and sad at the same time. But are you going to feel both ways towards the same person? Of course this is not the only thing that makes you turn the pages at fast speed. The scorching sexual tension, the delicious teasing turning into glorious action under the sheets—or was it somewhere else?—and the reader’s want/need to get more of a great couple are all page-turner reasons in my book. In this one for sure!
A steamy, delightful read. Put your hands on Lucas this book and prepare yourself to curl your toes while Stewart tells you a naughty but oh-how-very-nice story!
Another Christmas story, yay! I’m not familiar with the author, but you speak so highly of her that I can’t avoid trying her books! I want to know all about
Lucasthis naughty AND nice story! She is very good, I really like her writing style and I’m sure you’d like it as well, Fran. Plus, Lucas is someone you’d like to meet, hehe 😉
Oooh what a read for Silvia 🙂 Sounds like you flew through the pages!!! I do agree, I love a double POV as well. Great review my friend 🙂
I did! This was such a good couple to read about, the chemistry was strong from the beginning, so it made the whole story even more pleasurable to read 🙂
Yay for holiday reads. I too love dual POVs, it really lets you connect with both characters.
That’s totally true, and holiday reads are needed this time of the year!
This sounds like the perfect holiday read. I do love dual POVs for romance. I just think it makes the story work so much better in most cases. I will have to keep my eye out for this one.
It works great my opinion, the connection you get with both characters is stronger and it makes you have a clearer picture of the whole story, about both backgrounds for sure.
This sounds like such FUN!
The couple in here sure had lots of fun, hehe 😛
I’m glad you had such a great time again
Me too 🙂
I love when there is a double POV of both characters in the book, really makes the story more rounded and the characters possibly even more likeable!
That’s exactly it, isn’t it? It definitely served its purpose here, and I just love the feeling we get when we bond with the characters on any level!
