For every fan of the women of the Otherworld who is longing for more, a suspenseful and sexy new collection of stories and novellas by Kelley Armstrong.
In Otherworld Nights, Armstrong brings together some of her favourite love matches, taking us on honeymoon with her werewolves, Elena and Clay; showing us how her vampires, Cassandra and Aaron, express their unique bond; revealing how Karl proposed to Hope; and illustrating how the young Australian werewolf, Reese, learned the dangers of infatuation, among other stories. By popular demand, shes also included her fan-favourite novella, Hidden.
As an exciting conclusion, Armstrong has written a brand-new novella that takes us beyond the end of 13 to show us what happens after Savannah and Adam save the Otherworld—and realize they do love each other. The trouble is whether they know what love really means—coupled with the little wrinkle of having to figure that out while they battle demons. The kind from hell.
I’ve only read one novel, Bitten, in the Women of the Otherworld series a few years ago, and I wasn’t quite impressed by it. I remember the book didn’t particularly involve me and I didn’t continue with the series. Then the UK publisher asked me to review this anthology and I thought that—even if a bit risky—it could have been a good way to give Armstrong’s world another go. Now, imagine my surprise when not only I really enjoyed the read, but I also found myself wanting to go back and grab the other instalments as well. Although I’ve been clearly spoiled, the stories in here made me curious to the point that I don’t care, I just want to find out more about every character, couple and legend.
Every novella was compelling and made me feel something for the ones involved and, considering my first experience with the series, for me this was a big improvement. Kudos to the author for making even a ‘new’ reader feel part of her magic world!
Oh nice! I got this for review as well! Haven't gotten around to reading it just yet and it may still be awhile, but I did enjoy the series! A lot of fun and I'm happy to return to it with these novellas! Great review!
I liked this one as well! I need to post my review but I had a great time with all the stories.
I love that we are still getting some stories from the Women of the Otherworld world (that doesn't sound right. LOL). I love Kelley Armstrong and have read everything she has written. Can't wait to get this one as well. Great review.
It's always a great feeling when a story surprises you by how much you enjoy it. I've never read Armstrong but have heard great things.
Ooh lucky lady! I recently read Bitten and quite enjoyed it. I really want to finish this series sometime. I just found the second book Stolen in the book exchange the other day!! Glad you enjoyed it and it peeked your curiosity 🙂
Chanzie @ Mean Who You Are.
It really surprised me and, since you read the series, you'll probably even have a greater time with the anthology, Jessica! 🙂
I'm so happy to hear that, Melliane! I started the read worrying I wouldn't enjoy it much, and I ended loving it instead!
LOL It will probably get me a while, but I'll catch up with her books. 😉
I truly did and wish you the best of times with the series, Chanzie! 🙂
It really is a precious feeling! If you give her a go, let me know what you think, Andrea.
Didn't know about this book, I enjoyed a few of her books, will pick this one up!!
I had trouble with Bitten too but ended up enjoying that series. Some of them are way more catching than others but it definitely improves as they go along 🙂
Hope you enjoy it! 🙂
After reading this anthology I'm really tempted to come back and have a go with every previous instalment, so it's good to know the series improves as it continues!
If it's one of your favourites, the you're going to love this anthology, Brandee!
Glad you loved it to! My review is up for tomorrow (in the same tour ;)) and I also really enjoyed it. I have read three books in this series but this book made me really want to read all the books in this series. Kelley Armstrong definitely did a great job with the anthology!
I know the feeling! Glad you had a blast with the anthology, Maureen, and I'll be sure to check your review tomorrow! 🙂
