I think Beauty and the Beast is one those stories that always captivated me the most. When I was a kid my mum used to tell me the original story and I was passionately enchanted by it every time. Now many years have passed, could I honestly have ignored an erotic adaptation of this classic tale?

Petals and Thorns is a fast read but a so very enjoyable one. Jeffe Kennedy uses the perfect mix of sensuality and eroticism in this twisted fairytale that makes you pant in pleasure and keeps you craving to see what punishment is waiting for Amarantha next . . . “Which part was play and which part my punishment?” . . . Believe me, you will drool over this question and more. Torture, seduction and desire, if I loved the Beast before—yes, I always preferred the Beast to the Prince and I’m not ashamed to admit that—now I’m a huge fan!
