Only they could save each other from the sins of their fathers . . .
She’s never met a rule she didn’t want to break Rebellious Eleanor is sick of her mother’s zealotry and the confines of Catholic school, and declares she'll never go to church again. He’s the one man she can’t have But her first glimpse of beautiful, magnetic Father Marcus Stearns–Søren to her and only her–is an epiphany. Eleanor is consumed–yet even she knows being in love with a priest can’t be right. But some rules are just made to be broken . . . And then a whole world opens when Søren reveals to her his deepest secrets that will change everything.

It got me just one chapter to start panicking! I almost didn’t want to keep reading, and that says a lot considering my love for this series. Go on, read the book and then tell me I overreacted. I bet you will hold your breath until the very last page . . .

After the initial panic attack—but not the last one—I was drawn into Nora’s story and her very first encounter with Søren, and boy if I cracked up during the read! I simply loved the rebellious Eleanor, her theological discussions with her unique priest, and how Tiffany Reisz beautifully portrayed their building relationship. You think you got everything sorted out after The Mistress, but I can assure you more pieces of the puzzle fits together here and Kingsley proves once more to be the best sinner character ever! I just found myself having mixed feeling for Nico. I’m not sure about his interaction with Nora, which at times kinda bothered me. Then, I suppose I have to wait for the next book to come out and see if I’ll change my mind. With a brilliant author such as Reisz, I wouldn’t be surprised to see that happening.

A piece of advice to those new to the series, past and present are mixed here, so be sure to read the first four instalments in the series beforehand. It is essential to properly follow the present events, but even more so to fall for the characters and one of the most powerful stories ever told!

  5. Hehe, I admit I love the fact that my reviews have that effect on you, Kimberly 😛 Btw, with this series you can't go wrong: tears, laughs and sighs are assured in every single instalment!

  6. It's possibly the strongest, most fascinating and most mind blowing story I have ever read in this genre. I personally LOVE it, but I understand it's not for everyone. If you try it, I'll be curious to know what you think, Melliane.

  7. I'm glad you started the series, Lexxie! This is actually my first 4 rating for The Original Sinners, I gave a 5 to each previous instalment, but that of course doesn't mean this isn't another fantastic addition to the series. Anyway, my reviews don't contain any spoilers, ever. So feel free to read it, if you like 🙂

  10. I think I'm like the last one to have not read this series! I've had them on the tbr pile since the first came out and dang it was like there was a frenzy of them all the sudden. I'm so gonna have to find the time for them. Glad to hear the initial panic didn't end it for ya!

  11. On the contrary, it put me on the edge and gave me the right adrenaline rush to keep going to find answers out… Nevertheless, I really put a hand on my mouth and almost screamed at the beginning, that was how big of a shock the start was for me! You gotta love Tiffany and her diabolical but brilliant mind, and rest assured that every book will give you the most unexpected and strongest of the emotions!
