This is Jared's story . . .
Have you ever been so angry that hitting things felt good? Or so numb that you actually felt high? The past few years have been like that for me. Traveling between fury and indifference with no stops in between.
Some people hate me for it, while others are scared of me. But none of them can hurt me, because I don't care about anything or anyone.
Except Tatum.
I love her so much that I hate her. We used to be friends, but I found out that I couldn't trust her or anyone else.
So I hurt her. I pushed her away.
But I still need her. The sight of her centers me, and I can pool all of my anger into her. Engaging her, challenging her, bullying her . . . they are my food, my air, and the last part of me that feels anything human.
But she left. She went to France for a year, and came back a different girl.
Now, when I push, she pushes back.
Warning: This novel contains graphic sexual content and harsh language. It is only appropriate for adult readers age 18+.
This novel—Jared’s POV—is not a simple re-telling of events already happened and read, there are additional scenes that complete Jared and Tate’s story and make the book unputdownable. I don’t know about you, but a male’s POV always gets me particularly emotional and I just love that!
I now have the whole picture and, although I can’t say I justify Jared’s behaviour, getting in his mind and see what he was going through helped me understand him better. Tate sees this as well, but she rightfully doesn’t give Jared an easy time. He did a lot of things not to be proud of and he needs to gain her trust again, which may take a while . . . Nevertheless, it’s worth every fight and misunderstanding that come his way. And with friends and families that give you quite the laughs and definitely shine a bit more in here, you will want to keep up with the series really bad.
I’m very glad the author decided to give her fans this instalment and, if you’re new to the series, I would suggest to have both Bully and Until You promptly at hand. Jared and Tate’s story can be addictive and, trust me, you really want to know every detail and spend as much time with them as possible!
Please stop with your Fall Away reviews, Silvia! I can feel my one-click finger twitching right now 😉
Omigosh, Silvia! I am wishing I could drop everything and read this NOW! I'm very anxious to get inside Jared's head, if only to understand him a little more. You know I loved Bully. I'll have to see about rearranging my schedule to fit this one in. 🙂
it must be interesting to see the events from another character, mainly if it's not too redundant. It's quite intriguing.
Do not worry, there are no more in sight . . . for this month, that is. Who knows when I'm going to review a new instalment soooo, unless you're grabbing those beauties now, I would get ready for a sure one-click quick session later! 😉
Apparently my Fall Away reviews are 'dangerous' for you and Lexxie, LOL I know you loved Jared Bully, and I think you could find this even more engaging, Brandee! Indeed, I'd check the schedule and fit this in. Totally worth it! 🙂
Male POVs always end up working better and definitely have a bigger emotional impact on me. Perhaps being in a female's head 24/7, I like the change? 😛
It really is, Melliane, and this instalment wasn't redundant at all. Kudos to that!
