With a character whose looks don’t seem to match his personality, and a pretty artwork that sometimes turns into the cutest ever—the main characters drawn in chibi style are the sweetest—this manga doesn’t fail to put a smile on your face and keeps your attention alive all the time. Add a girl who’s not afraid to face certain situations and tell people off, and you know things can only get more interesting as you turn the pages. It may sound odd, but it’s hard not to see why Madoka’s heart melts all of a sudden for the same guy who also infuriates her. As she admits herself, “he’s positively gifted at being cute” and that, for a girl like her who is so infatuated with younger, sweet guys in shōjo reads, it’s kinda everything! Or is it? And, more importantly, can she push down the walls this kohai created around him and get to know the real Shikura-kun?
An enjoyable and sweet read that just makes you wanna see the bond between these two bloom in all its glory. Mark my words, this is a manga that could just very well be your cutie!
