The fight is over, and Leigh Morgan won. After spending months spying in Otherworld as a servant, she’s rescued the humans who were abducted by the Others and sent them safely home. She had to stay behind to destroy the gateway between worlds and keep them safe, but tough luck. She’s prepared to pay the price.
But she didn’t expect the curse the queen of Otherworld lays on her: a thorny vine growing under Leigh’s skin that will kill her when it reaches her heart. The queen will lift the curse . . . if Leigh uses her connections in the human realm to locate a magical weapon lost hundreds of years ago.
To ensure she succeeds, the queen sends her son, Dredarion Rath, the cunning prince Leigh had to betray to save her people. With anger and hurt still fresh, they can barely stand to be in the same room together, much less cooperate on such a dangerous mission. But as Leigh’s friends risk everything to help her, she’ll have to find a way to reconcile with Dredarion before their quest gets her and everyone she cares about killed.
My, my, Kristen Brand, you sure know how to spice things up, and make readers fall in love with Dredarion the magical world you created.
If I really liked the first instalment, I truly loved this second book! Action-packed, Sting of Thorns follows the suspenseful ending of Poison and Honey, and drags you into an even more dangerous situation without wasting time. Things get intense fast, with threatening enemies ready to give hell, but also anger, hurt, and regrets tormenting Leigh and Dredarion. Working together seems a more impossible task than the mission they need to face, but they really have no choice. Same as the craving they have for each other . . . A burning desire certainly complicate things, and to keep them extra interesting, there’s a group of protective—and handy—friends with them. Get ready for good laughs, but also to make some very intriguing discoveries . . .
An adventurous journey with slow relationships building, humorous banters, and twists making you see someone—and analyse situations—with different eyes. This series just gets better and better, and I can’t wait to enter the Otherworldy again!

This sounds good from the world to the banter!
The world-building is fascinating (and a bit creepy) + the banters give you the best of times, just like the characters!
Oh hello, I do need to get to know this series better. And, the best part the pacing seems to be spot on — that totally maks a book for me!
I’m right there with you, Verushka. Although I truly enjoyed the first instalment, I think the pace improved in this second book and it had an even better impact on me, I loved it!
